From working with the original Warp Records, Lady Blackbird, Athletes of God and his forthcoming Foundation project, Earth Angel - artist, DJ and Sheffield legend Crooked Man turns his signature production style to Greg Foat's Psychosynthesis.
The results are 2 amazing remixes...
Psycrooked Remix Part 1, adds some seismic, main room-filling bass. Sheffield Bass and the 'Bleep’ sub-sonic past are very much present but at a more pounding, 2022 pace. The intensity is ramped up by hypnotic, rave-generating synths that demand dance floor attention echoing Sheffield's Bleep-y past. They signal the arrival of the deepness of Greg’s original mix. Once those chords and his synth lines are laid on, the party ascends to the next level. The track delivers on all levels: it's big, it's bouncing, it's funky and it's deep.
Psycrooked Remix Part 2 Crooked Man takes a more electro-funk route. Rocking again but different. Its almost break beats but it isn’t, it’s electro but broken and dubbed out. The groove lays the foundation to introduce the deepness + the chords of Greg’s original. This track shimmers and pulsates but never loses its rocking electronic syncopation and groove… It's deeper and more syncopated but still rocking. It's got a Detroit electro/techno feel. It’s another joyous way to drag Greg Foat’s original to the dance floor…
