  If you are a fan and have been following the run of limited edition vinyl releases of her remixes you will already know that the LADY BLACKBIRD DUB PLATE REMIX SERIES has had two volumes out to date. Volume One saw Coleen “Cosmo” Murphy’s excellent remix of “Lost & Looking” come out on coloured vinyl and it very quickly SOLD OUT.
  
  A few weeks ago Volume Two came out on a lovely translucent, heavyweight, dark green 7” vinyl, that contained the much lauded remixes from Emma Jean Thackray and Greg Foat of “Blackbird” and “Collage” respectively. This is very nearly SOLD OUT too
  
  Today Volume Three lands. Again it is a Limited Edition of 500 vinyl on 12” vinyl and if you are a lover of house and electronica it really is a classic package. It features some of the remixes that early on spread Lady Blackbirds name across the planet, alerting people to the beauty and power of her voice, taking it and her songs to diverse dance floors in far flung places
  
  The vinyl contains the legendary Bruise remix of “Collage” a track that became Pete Tong’s Number 2 Essential New Tune of 2021 on his BBC Radio One show and got played by a diverse array of DJ’s on a myriad of dance floors. It was so good that we signed Bruise off the back of it and to much success.
  
  Electronic music legend Matthew Herbert delivered an amazing dark and twisted electronic version of “Beware of The Stranger” which we immediately fell in love with as did Victoria Beckham who used the track to soundtrack her Spring/Summer 2022 Fashion show. It’s long, dark, gothic and twisted, full of the UK’s pastoral techno magic, and it moves !!
  
  Ashley Beedle delivered an epic remix under his NorthWest Street Remix guise, a broken, Nu Yorican beat that builds in to a a classic Beedle production that has echoes of those classic Def Mixes of by the late great Frankie Knuckles. The song is fully delivered, its deepness kept in tack and supported by Darren Morris’ amazing piano work but the tune also lands firmly on the dance floor with those banging beats and a hypnotic funky bassline. At 8 minutes 35 seconds it is truly an epic journey for “Beware of The Stranger”
  
  Finally, but definitely not least is the first remix we commissioned for Lady Blackbird’s debut release “Blackbird” from NYC/NJ legend, and recently hyped again (because of his inclusion on Beyonce’s Grammy winning “Alien Superstar” track) Johnny Dangerous aka Foremost Poets. What a way to start a remix campaign !! This is truly a late night NYC dance odyssey, a track that fits perfectly on to those late night, classic, deep NYC dance floors of The Shelter. Its jazzy, housey, pulsating, deep and epic. A true classic of the genre from one of us at Foundation’s favourite New York producers (look out for his forthcoming Flowers EP on Foundation on November 11th)
